I grew up in Augsburg, Germany, a small town 50 km. west of Munich with a history of religious wood sculpture and the center of the gilding trade during the middle ages. There are many fountains of hero's and mythical creatures, with buildings and churches adorned with fresco's and sculptures. As a boy growing up surrounded with these images I was awed and fascinated and to this day I am still inspired by the craft, skill and love of materials that I saw every day. |

I studied at the San Francisco Academy of Art, Revere Academy of Jewelry
in S.F., Atelier des Beaux Arts in Paris, in Idar Oberstien,
Germany and in studios of artists and craftsmen in America, Europe,
Mexico and Brazil. Traveling to Europe regularly I continue my studies
in museums, galleries, shops, studios and work shops. The streets,
buildings and monuments of Europe, especially Paris are a constant source of inspiration.
My jewelry is often a collaboration with my clients and usually hand fabricated. I set all gemstones myself and have outstanding resources for all gems at significant values. I specialize in hand fabricating platinum and gold. |
| My gem sculptures and larger sculptures are often personal themes and people. I am available for commissions in all gem stones, marble and most other materials. Also for portraits in gems or marble and family crests in all gemstones. |
